Welcome to The Scritti Crush Connection, the freshly-scrubbed lone beacon of Scritti Politti fandom on the Internet. If you want to know a bit about Scritti Politti, how its fans express themselves these days, or even just remember those catchy tunes, this is a great place to start your musical and intellectual journey to enlightenment.

This site was originally started by Andrew Doss and Joan Maeda as The Gift Of Schizo at a time when Scritti Politti fandom on the web seemed MUCH rarer than today. As other sites came online, TGOS sort of morphed into a home base for the emerging community of SP sites, most of which have since vanished. Those who remember reading about the 'Scritti Crush Crew' will recognize the site's name.

This site is the most popular site I've ever created. In recent years, I've somewhat abandoned it, with the rise of so many other, more thorough SP sites. I was disappointed with Anomie & Bonhomie (too much rap, in my opinion), so the site was again largely left untouched due to my lack of enthusiasm.

Indeed, much of the content of this site still hasn't been touched since about 1996, when a new release from Scritti Politti seemed a remote concept. I do, however, plan to update all the pages if I can get around to it. Thanks to those who have sent me kind emails correcting my information! Until I get the information updated, simply view the out-of-date pages as part of the nostalgia that has become part of Scritti Politti fandom anyway!
